Shedrick Andrew Moore (Shed)

Shedrick Andrew Moore, affectionately known as Shed, began his journey on November 28, 1958, in Friars Point, Mississippi, born to proud parents Andrew Freeman and Dorothy Moore. He was the fifth of eight siblings.

On Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, Mississippi, God, in His infinite wisdom, wrapped His arms around Shed and called him home. Shed departed this life knowing he was deeply loved by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Johnathan Jones and Corinthians Jones, his sister Elnora Holman, and his brother David Moore.

At a young age, Shed professed his belief in Christ and became a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Friars Point, Mississippi, under the leadership of Rev. O. Bennett. He was a dedicated, hardworking, and loving individual. His career path led him to work in the maintenance department for the Town of Friars Point, Bally’s Casino, and Irby Construction.

Throughout his life, Shed never complained. His smile was a constant reminder that God was in control. Despite facing hardships beyond his understanding, whenever asked how he was doing, he would always reply, “Just Great,” regardless of the difficulties he faced.

Visitation will be Friday August 16, 2024 at Royal Funeral Home from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, 1:00 PM, at Friendship MB Church, Friars Point, MS.  Burial will follow at Friars Point Cemetery.
