In Greenville, Ms. on October 1, 1962, Sam Jr. and Lettie Brown was over-joyed with the birth of a baby girl whom they named Theresa Ann Brown. Theresa was the first-born of four daughters. She was affectionally know as Tee and also as MaReese. She was sweet, loving, kind-hearted and true. She was family-oriented and enjoyed every moment spent with family. Theresa had a great sense of humor and enjoyed hearing others laugh. She confessed hope in Christ at Calvary M. B. Church in Clarksdale, MS where she was a member of the choir.
Theresa graduated from Greenville High School (1980), She received an AA Degree in Business Administration from Coahoma Community College (1985). She was a property manager for Makowsky & Ringel, Ledic and Fogelman Properties. She later became an insurance agent for Nationwide and Direct Insurance, after retirement she partnered with her daughter and became a food truck owner (King Reed's Eats and Sweets of Memphis TN) where she was passionate about cooking and serving her customers.
Visitation will be Saturday July 2, 2022 at Royal Funeral Home from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The Celebration of Life will be Sunday July 3, 2022, 2:00 PM, at Union Grove MB Church. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents Sam Jr. and Lettie Brown. Her paternal grandparents- Ora Crawford and Sam Brown, Sr. Her maternal grandparents, Tobie II and Anna Lee Wallace, one nephew Cartravious Brown, Jr.(C. J.) and one great aunt, Ann Jennings. Theresa leaves to forever cherish her sweet, loving memories: Her husband, Paul Jimmy Nanan of Memphis, TN., one son, Jammion Reed of Memphis, TN, two daughters, Aereal Reed and Nikkiya Reed of Memphis, TN., and a bonus daughter Brianna of Memphis TN. three sisters: Stephanie James of Horn Lake.MS Alisha (Carl) Jordan of Southaven, MS. and Untrice Jones of Clarksdale, MS.: Nine grandchildren: Kelton, Kendly, Kamiyah, Jamieya, Jammion Jr., Darrien Kaylee, Kerrington and Jammiyona, Four sisters-in-law: Genevive (John) and Mary (Ed) of Florida, Carol and Judy of Trinidad: one great aunt Corrine of Ruleville, MS.: Five nephews: Cartravious, Sr. Ladarius, ,Jaylin, Tamera Jr Deshune, Three nieces: Jermerial, Jasmine, and Akiya: Four special cousins: Elroy, Wayne P., James and Wayne B.: Four special friends: Gwen, Brenda, Jennifer and Jackie: and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Theresa peacefully made her transition to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
