Vanderrick Valshun McCray

Vanderrick Valshun McCray, 29, of Southaven, MS passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 16, 2019.  Vanderrick was born May 19, 1990 in Clarksdale, MS to Priscilla McCray and Gwin Muskin.  

Vanderrick a.k.a. "Bud" was known for his humble spirit and generosity to others.  Vanderrick was a sports advocate and a "Die-Hard" Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Cowboys fan.  Vanderrick was a graduate of Coahoma County High School Class of 2009.  Vanderrick confessed his hope in Christ at an early age at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Bobo, MS.  Vanderrick was a lifelong resident of Lyon, MS before moving to Southaven, MS two years ago.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Royal Funeral from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Union Grove M.B. Church, 2237 North State Street,  Clarksdale, MS 38614, 2 PM with the Rev. Ladarious Ross officiating.  The burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.  

Vanderrick leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Priscilla McCray, father, Gwin Muskin; his one and only child, Vanderrick Valshun McCray Jr., five sisters, Gwynisha McCray, Shandrika Muskin, Carmen Muskin, Lauren Sweargen, Kayla Hughes; two brothers, Jaylin McCray, Kobe Muskin; grandmother, Ruby Davis; a host of other relatives and friends.
