We all live on borrowed time. People come and go so unexpectedly, we sometimes forget that nothing really lasts as long as we hoped they would. Losing someone dear to us can be a heartbreaking experience, but it’s something we need to accept in order to continue on with our lives. Losing a father is already difficult as it is, but we will do our best to keep his memory alive.
Vernell Breeland Sr. was born January 17, 1929, in Clarksdale, MS. He passed away on January 10, 2020. Mr. Breeland was the loving father to the late Vernell Breeland Jr, Samuel Breeland, Denice (Kendrick) Breeland White, Jerome Breeland, and Jasmine Breeland. He is also survived by his loving partner, Diann Jackson and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
His final days were peaceful. He lived a purpose filled life and was very blessed to have achieved so much. He was blessed to witness all of his children grow into adults and have families their own. He was also blessed to see all of his grandchildren and spend the rest of his days with them. He always believed that family was everything. Mr. Breeland believed that spending quality time with his children and grandchildren was his greatest blessing. Mr. Breeland’s death was not a curse, it was a blessing. Mr. Breeland’s soul was ready to be free from a body that was causing so much pain. Mr. Breeland would want us to celebrate his life as well as let others know that God works in his own time. On January 10, 2020 God called his beloved child home. Mr. Breeland was a loving soul and his spirit will continue to watch over us all.
Mr. Breeland’s favorite things consisted of spending time with is grandchildren, working on cars, doing yard work, and allowing life to teach him everything his mind and soul could absorb. Mr. Breeland favorite television shows were “Walker Texas Ranger”, and “In the Heat of the Night”. Mr. Breeland was a well-respected in the community.
Special thanks to Greenbough Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and support during his final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Royal Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
