William Lewis Thomas

William Lewis Thomas Sr., 63, of Clarksdale, MS passed away Monday June 29, 2020 at Baptist East Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN.  William was born June 2, 1957 in Vance, MS to Alfred Thomas and Elnora Banks.

William worked as an EMT for Northwest MS Regional Medical Center and just recently retired, dedicating forty two years of service and one year of service to Quitman County Ambulance Service.  William was a lifelong resident of Clarksdale, MS and a member of New Bethel M.B. Church in Clarksdale, MS under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Polite.  

Visitation will be Saturday July 4, 2020 at Royal Funeral Home from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  The graveside memorial will be Sunday July 5, 2020, 1:30 PM at Heavenly Rest Cemetery with Rev. Polite officiating.

William was preceded in death by his father Alfred Thomas Sr.; son William Thomas Jr.; three brothers Charles Thomas, Alfred Thomas Jr., and Darren Thomas.

William leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mildred Thomas; mother Elnora Thomas; five children Jalissa  Thomas, Christopher Thomas, Tamera Thomas, Crystal Bowie, Antonio Thomas; two sisters Delbra Thomas, Maxine Smith; two brothers Henry Thomas, Steve Thomas; thirteen grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
