Willie C. Rucker, 99, of Coahoma, MS, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Clarksdale Nursing Home. She was born March 31, 1917 to Hezekiah Moon and Annie Griffin Johnson in Coahoma, MS. During her career, Willie was a sharecropper and cook until she retired in 1987. Visitation will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 from 1pm-5pm at Royal Funeral Home. The family hour will take place Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Royal Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow immediately thereafter. Burial will be at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny D. Rucker of Coahoma, MS; parents; Hezekiah Moon & Annie L. Johnson, both from Coahoma, MS; 1 sister; Mattie Moon Williams of Lula, MS; 4 brothers; Walter L. Johnson of Clarksdale, MS, Steve Mathies, Henry & Harry Johnson, all of Detroit, MI. She was also recently preceded in death by her namesake niece, Willie Ann Johnson of Detroit. She leaves to cherish her memories a sister-in-law, Mrs. Walter L. (Dorothy) Johnson of Clarksdale, MS; 4 special nieces; Mrs. Eddie (Frankie) Magsby of Rich, MS, Mrs. Larry (Erma Jean) Moore of Memphis, TN, Mrs. Aaron (Guyla) Anderson of Atlanta, GA, Ms. Guyna G. Johnson of Chicago, IL. Services are entrusted to Royal Funeral Home, 507 Ashton Ave., Clarksdale, MS 38614.
