Willie B Thomas

Willie B. Thomas, Jr., 75, of Clarksdale, MS passed away peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2023 with his daughters by his side.

Willie B., a.k.a "Mane" was born in Clarksdale, MS on Saturday, November 22, 1947 to the late Willie B. Thomas, Sr. an Ruby Jane Thomas.  He gave his life early to Christ and was a faithful member of New Covenant M.B. Church.  As one of oldest sons, he worked odd jobs he could find starting at a young age.  His work ethnic and desire to take care of his family led him to working as a harvester over 35 years at Harry Black and Mascot Planning Company.

If you asked Willie, his greatest accomplishment wasn't material things.  It was taking care of his loved ones and being a father.  He worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.

Visitation will be Friday February 17, 2023, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The funeral service will  be Saturday February 18, 2023, 2:00 PM at Union Grove M.B. Church.  Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery.

Willie B. was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters ~ Annie L. Washington, Elizabeth Thomas, Dorothy J. Thomas, Carolyn Thomas, Mary Frances Conley & two brothers ~ Samuel Thomas, James White.

He is survived by his children ~ Elijah White, Syvan Dobbs, Sharon Stacker-Lofton, Timothy Stacker, Willie B. Thomas III, Lauren B. Thomas and Fantasia B. Thomas; Six sisters ~ Susie Thomas, Ruby Thomas, Rosie Taylor, Mary B. Langston, Mary Ann Thomas, Patricia Thomas; Eight brothers ~ Robert Thomas, Earnest(Joanne) Thomas, Dexter Thomas, John W. (Flora) Thomas, John (Leola) Mitchell, Genus (Melissa) Thomas, Edward (Latricia) Boone.  With special mention of his grandson, Jedaryus Thomas and nieces, Doris Jackson & Rosetta Washington, he leaves 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grand, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
