Zenolia Hayes Washington

Zenolia Hayes Washington, 72, of Friars Point, MS passed away Sunday August 23, 2020 at Baptist Desoto Memorial Hospital in Southaven, MS.  Zenolia was born July 22, 1948 in Minter City, MS.   

Zenolia was an accountant in the financial aid department at Coahoma Community College prior to retiring in 2001.  Zenolia was married to James Washington, Sr. and a member of Silver Cloud MB Church in Friars Point, MS.  Zenolia was a homemaker, girl scout leader, and the 1st Lady of Friars Point, MS for thirty eight years.

Visitation will be Friday August 28, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Royal Funeral Home.  The family hour will follow from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.  A graveside memorial will be held Saturday August 29, 2020, 11:00 AM at Oakridge Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Myles officiating.  

Zenolia leaves to cherish her memories her husband, James Washington, Sr.; two children Jessica and James (Kyra) Washington, Jr.; five sisters Shelley (Tommy) Goldman, Roberta Jackson, Tiwana Thomas, Rebecca Johnson, and Elizabeth Wallace; five brothers Clarence (Betty) Hayes, Eddie (Dora) Hayes, Willie (Beroma) Wilson, Percy (Betty) Thomas, Anderson Thomas; seven grandchildren, other survivors Laura Johnson and Beatrice Miles of Chicago, IL, Magnolia Chandler of Calumet City, IL, and a host of other relatives and friends.
