Joe Willie Henley a.k.a. "Jr.", 38, passed away Tuesday March 3, 2026.  Joe was born February 6, 1988. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2026, at Royal Funeral Home from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.  Funeral service will be Saturday March 21, 2026, 2:00 PM, at Union Grove MB Church.  Burial will follow at McLaurin Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Angela Hence White, 55, passed away Saturday February 28, 2026. The family has entrusted Royal Funeral Home and final arrangements are pending at this time.  

Barbara Jean Johnson, 79 of Clarksdale, MS passed away Wednesday February 25, 2026.  Barbara was born September 26, 1946 to Charles and Alice Barnes. Visitation will be Saturday March 7, 2026 at Royal Funeral Home from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.  The Celebration of Life will be Sunday March 8, 1:30 PM at Union Grove MB Church.  Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.  Rev.  Sammie Collins, her only son, will be officiating.  Rev. Lela B. Keys, a devoted servant, leader, faithful woman of God, and pillar of the Clarksdale community, transitioned peacefully on February 22, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on August 26, 1941, in Calhoun City, Mississippi, Lela was the fourth of twelve children born to the late Oris and Georgia Denton Bays. She accepted Christ at an early age in Drew, Mississippi, under the leadership of Rev. A.D. Banks, beginning a lifelong journey of faith and devoted service. After her family relocated ...

Roy Downing, 70, of Clarksdale, MS passed away Sunday February 8, 2026.  Roy was born April 19, 1955.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday February 14, 2026, at Chapel Hill MB Church, 1057 Page Ave., Clarksdale, MS 38614.  The Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. 

Thomas Hall, 64, of Clarksdale, MS passed away January 29, 2026 at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.  Thomas was born January 15, 1962. Mae Willie Brown, 64, of Stovall, MS, passed away January 23, 2026 at Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.  Mae was born July 18, 1961. Marcel Angeline Thomas was born on January 28, 1979, to the union of Jeffrey Thomas, Sr. and Ola Minyon Thomas, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Marcel graduated from Clarksdale High School in 1997 where she was an exemplary student adored by all her fellow classmates.
